During all the major demolition or construction projects, huge amounts of refuse are surely generated. Concrete:Smaller fragments of concrete are usually crushed down and used for various purposes. The layers of concrete can be laid down before asphalt is being spread while making new roads. Most often, the re-paved or enhanced roads will be made using the original concrete roads they are about to replace. When the concrete is ground very finely, you can even use it as a dry aggregate for new constructions.
Asphalt:The most common method of recycling old asphalt road is to create new asphalt from it. This is popularly called as “Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement”. The recycled asphalt is being used in the making of warm-mix asphalt, which would allow it to be blended at lower temperatures, thereby resulting in reduced emissions of carbon and usage of energy.
Glass:You should be aware that glass is 100% recyclable, which can be recycled without the need for compromising the quality and purity. The old glass scraps can be used in the production of new glass, which can then be used in a variety of industrial, as well as consumer purposes. They are also used in the making of fiberglass.
Metal:Several types of metals are recycled by subjected to melting process. Often, the melted metals will be used to make new products. Moreover, the recycled metals can be melted at lower temperatures than the virgin ones thereby, saving energy and reducing carbon emissions.
